My name is Marcel Pinas. The proud founder of Mr Salad and my story is deeply rooted in the loving and humble kitchen of my mother. Growing up in a lively household of five boys, under the caring wings of my mother, I discovered the magic inherent in combining simple ingredients to create something tasty and nourishing at an early age.

As a single parent my mother had the task of caring for us all and the kitchen was the heart of our home where we gathered, learned, and loved. I was always fascinated by the way my mother, with her Surinamese roots, transformed simple, but quality ingredients into delightful, nutritious meals. Soon enough, I became her little assistant, always ready to help, whether it was chopping vegetables, stirring sauces, or baking bread.

My Journey

How I started
I am not just an entrepreneur. I’m a man on a mission. A mission to make healthy eating not only accessible, but also tasty for everyone. My culinary journey began in my mother’s kitchen, where our rich Surinamese roots laid the foundation for my love for cooking.
Why I started
Thus, Mr Salad was born, reflecting my ambition to blend a touch of gastronomic magic with the purity of healthy, allergen-friendly ingredients.
My Mission
After running my own restaurant with heart and soul for 7 years, I was driven by a deeper desire. I wanted to broaden the horizon of healthy eating and prove that the word 'delicious' can be synonymous with 'healthy.' Now, with a wealth of experience and endless dedication, I am ready to share my created products with a wider audience. Mr Salad is not just about salads, wraps, or delicious brownies and banana bread. It's an invitation to embrace a healthier lifestyle without missing a dash of delight.
